@jamesgecko this is cute but it’s also such a caricature of typical open source. Pico-8: careful restraint and as few features as possible. Tic-80: why not support 5 programming languages???

Interesting, but I somehow see more restraint on TIC-80 side than PICO-8, looking past the language support. :linus:

@vintprox @frew Definitely different design philosophies. PICO-8 multi-cart projects, while TIC-80 just… doesn’t have a token limit. PICO-8 also has easter eggs like the secret palette and PSCII that you can do crazy things with. It wants you to feel like you’re breaking the rules to squeeze more power out of it.
