It's coming up on my Dad's death again & triggering antimasker #police traumas in our home again. I'm still fucking angry about it all! I was so happy that all except one staff member at #WestcoastImaging at #UptownCentre were masked. All patients who emerged from scans, wore masks. Safe & empty waiting room. I ran into multiple unmasked people in other areas of the main medical building. I only had to respond to one antimasker person who looked at me & snickered.
I shouted - 'Don't snicker at my mask. My Dad died from covid in June. Don't be an ignorant shithead.' He was stunned into silence & 2 women clapped in parking lot.
I don't look for confrontations with #antimaskers but will definitely confront them, directly, if they're foolish enough to do/say/behave in disrespectful ways towards me. I am not allergic or fearful of confrontational moments - when I feel they're necessary.

Conditions at #BritishColumbia#hospitals have worsened since Dad's death. Over a year ago, he was put in hallways & in an area with active #covid patients without our knowledge. When we arrived, I flipped out because it was unsafe. Dad ended up getting covid in hospital few days later. He died from long covid in June.
My offline life is pretty boring these days. The highlight of my day was going to pharmacy & embarrassing a shitty white guy who tried mocking me for wearing my mask outside mall. I verbally shredded the racist, #antimasker asshat & don't regret it. I yelled at crowd who was standing by, shocked & told them that they should expect to be embarrassed in public too - by people like me - if they're shitty antimasking plague spreaders too.
I am DONE being civil with asshats in public. Fuck them.
Be careful #PlagueSpreading#antimaskers - people like me are #underestimated in the public, often. We don't look like people who will not hesitate to make a big & loud public scene - if you're a fidiot who likes to randomly attack people wearing masks to protect themselves & others.
