We updated our essay on revitalizing classified ads in local publications with a software specification in development called flohmarkt that offers an open-source backbone for want ads, as well as a mechanism for running classifieds from neighboring publications.

@omz13@hypolite I see now what your talking about. This is super weird. Maybe a bug in federation between the newer version that masto.social is running and #friendica since the thread is all intact on my version of mastodon.
Thinking about attempting to code an #ActivityPub service as a learning project, and to perhaps solve the social lock-in issue of gaming platform profiles that really pisses me off. 🤔
I really really don't like #DRM, however I'm way too attached to my almost 20 year old #Steam profile and like to do video game achievements. Having a unified, federated profile that pulls its data from all the different sources (Steam, PSN, Xbox, RetroAchievements.org and especially GOG) would be neat. #gaming
@Natanox I am not familiar with these game achievement systems, so this may not be usable for you..
I had various fediscussions in the past where some form of federated verified badges were mused about. Verified to avoid fakes. Various times #OpenBadges spec was mentioned, which is JSON-LD based.
Another thought is.. you may get into trouble using official artwork. But that may be an opportunity for artwork communities around badges and get fedi-art alternatives.
primarily I want to share one id/account. we don't need separate private messaging here. when people try to do that, it should be a matrix conversation. etc.
There are over 8K LoC for Pixelfed Groups atm, and that will likely double in the coming months (mobile apps, federation, etc...)

@triskelion Forgejo is preparing for that as we speak. You already can use a mastodon instance as oauth provider, according to the docs (Haven’t tried it yet)

What I find strange in #ActivityPub and #Fediverse that there is no way to put a note to follow request. Like "I want more posts in language_name in my feed and I liked the cat videos you repost".
It gives cases when someone concerned that they did not understood why someone follows them.
