I watched and really enjoyed the first season of Cells at Work and like the premise of Dr Stone. I also love biology so I’m definitely biased lol, but what do y’all think?
Urusai Social is like the good mirror universe of Ani-Twitter....over there I'm wary of people with #anime avatars; here I seek them out because they're the coolest.
This is going to be a regular thing of mine where I'll talk about #seiyuu, or #anime voice actors, that I particularly enjoy, along with some roles of theirs.
To start things off, I'm discussing the lovely and exuberant #KaedeHondo (b. 1996), who's been voice acting since 2015.
This week's episode of Tengoku Daimakyo aka Heavenly Delusion really needed to come with a content warning. Fair warning #anime fans, this on might be extremely distressing for the trans folks and anyone who has been assaulted.
I'm actually feeling shaken up and not in a good way.
@mdmrn@To I personally enjoyed Nichijou- My Ordinary Life as a favorite comedy #anime as the gags are hilarious and silly left field shenanigans never fail to amuse me. I'm going to share my favorite clip.
I'm Melanya. My friend @belmikey introduced me to #TheExpanse and I fell for it hard. I've been active in the #ScreamingFirehawks Fandom since Oct 2018, when I joined Twitter so I could geek about and in #LangBelta. I have my BA in #Linguistics -- which comes in handy. I'm also a moderator on the Discord Expanse Server. I'm a mom. Love #SciFi & #fantasy. Lots of hobbies have I 🙂
Let's get to know each other a bit better with some genre questions :spyfam_anya_sparkle:
First question: What are your favorite Comedy or Gag Manga/Anime?
My answers are a classic, the SoL comedy Yotsuba&! and the supernatural Yakuza comedy Hinamatsuri.
Yotsuba&! is the story of a five-year-old girl with the same name. She recently moved into a new town with her adoptive father and has a lot of mundane adventures that get fascinating because of Yotsubas' excitement for everything.
Hinamatsuri is about mid-level Yakuza Nitta, who becomes the guardian of the psychic girl Hina, who turns his life upside down.
I am a HVAC design engineer in a country where a random rock thrown out the window will probably land on an engineer’s head.
I am super into #music and hope to find people with taste as questionable as mine.
I am also into some Japanese cartoons. Some people call them #anime but what do I know?
I don’t have anything planned with what i’ll be posting here but let’s see where this goes.
#TheMakanai on Netflix is fascinating to me because I'd already watched the #anime adaptation of the same story, available as #KiyoInKyoto on Crunchyroll.
It's a sweet, gentle series that gives a rare glimpse into the world of geisha. But mostly I'm in it for the food. It's never anything fancy, just depictions of Japanese comfort food, but watching it feels like getting a warm hug.
I should do a proper #introduction here...
I'm alxdre301. I watch #anime and read #manga a lot... if anything gets my taste, I will start to spend a day to finish it, LOL.
I prefer to watch #action, #bl, #detective. I like #psychopass and #bananafish the most, currently.
Fan of #KAITO :KaitoIceCream:, I had a bit weird taste of music, LOL.

You might see some other accounts which has the same username on mstdn.games and tech.lgbt, don't worry, it's me, but I want to take focus to Japanese-culture otaku on this account.
If you want an #Anime that has both an pitch-perfect satire on crypto grift and an episode that got delayed because #ShinzoAbe got shot, watch #Teppen.
I can't be the only one who sometimes struggles with the fact that you really do want to read a book because you're so invested and really enjoying it, but also really don't want to keep reading because you know that if you do it'll eventually end?
@talon I'm this way with a good #anime series. I will hold off finishing it because doing so feels like having to say goodbye to a group of good friends and I'm reluctant to.
Today's #AniAnimal is Chikuwa from "Yuru Camp△". Chikuwa is Ena's lazy pomeranian and he likes to hide in blankets and other warm places during cold weather.
the transitions from 2D animation to the CGI stuff in this show just keeps making me think of a video game where the cutscene transitions into actual gameplay. also the ending of this clip feels very much like a video game tutorial
(also also, you only get 2 outfit slots in this cyber future? it really is the coming Metaverse dystopia)
there's something very throwback 80s girls' product cartoon about this show which is fitting b/c it's created by a corporation to sell their brand, but also like it tries to be educational??? now that they've done an episode about the dangers of believing everything you read online & literally telling us to fact check everything with multiple trustworthy sources & another about not comparing your follower counts to other people, I think the NFT bit was sincerely trying to teach kids about what an NFT is even if it was extremely credulous (it IS made by a vtuber corporation)
What do y’all think about science anime (eg. Cells at Work, Dr Stone)?
I watched and really enjoyed the first season of Cells at Work and like the premise of Dr Stone. I also love biology so I’m definitely biased lol, but what do y’all think?
