you can stop FL Studio from adding 30-60 seconds of silence at the end of your exports:

on the export dialog switch "Tail" to "Cut remainder".

make sure you do your own fade out or you'll get a sharp cutoff, as the name implies.

, which presumably would transfer over to the Fedora Jam spin, will be slowly and carefully integrating bits of AI type stuff.

I have not heard anything about any libre software doing anything with much technology, however.

That being said, I wouldn't mind having a computer help me with the final mastering of an album while I focus my time and energy on other things.

Alright, gotta test the new streaming setup () this week.

What would be at least marginally interesting?

Walking through making-of for some Salvation album tracks?

My workflow for making/recording lines using

Talking about my favorite books so far?

Pedal demos?

Playing along badly to my own bass lines that I forget 2 minutes after recording?

Just jamming along with some tunes? (Suggestions/permission solicited)

Have you thought about switching to an older version of Audacity (e.g., 3.0.2) due to networking features in newer versions?

Why not try Tenacity? It features all the things you love from Audacity 3.0.2 plus the non-destructive editing features from Audacity 3.1, all without networking! And don't forget our own specific features like Matroska label editing! 😄

In just under an hour I've gone from an empty, freshly formatted drive, to an installed on & a fully functional installation, with all the modern conveniences of etc. Ten, even five years ago, I'd be tinkering for days to get everything working the way I want - and even then I'd not have things working satisfactorily & most likely finally limp back to . I've been hoping for this moment since I first struggled to get to compile back somewhere around 2006 or so. I'd say the time for has finally arrived.

is a brand new algorithmic reverb. It's VST3.

"Turbo Paco is an old-style Algorithmic Reverb, based on some own and other classic algorithms.
This Effect is mostly about Allpass loop and Feedforward-Comb reverbs, with some few exceptions. There are some Choruses as a bonus.

The controls are pretty much self-explanatory except "Dyn Time" and "Op Range". When "Dyn Time" is positive the dynamics processor does ducking. When it's negative it does inverse ducking, which results in a kind of gate. "Op Range" is the level at which the hard clipper will clip the input signal. This is necessary for controlling the dynamic range of the fixed-point implementation.

The design philosophy is to have a limited set of controls and many algorithms. Now there aren't a lot, but more can be added."
