All my #Zwave motion sensors, which were a constant PITA for me, feel like crap compared to #HueMotion (thx to myself for trying it after years-long reluctance to #Zigbee sensors)
I am proud of the infrastructure we created for our Introduction to Security class at CTU in Prague.
It is a challenge to keep services and student containers up in a quite adversarial network where everyone is attacking but we managed to secure a 99% uptime.
In 15-16 weeks of class, our network sees hundreds of millions of network flows. We use #zeek for log collection, a dockerised suite with #grafana for monitoring, and #splunk for threat hunting.
Students are in full control of their containers. Our classes are a well-balanced mix of attack and defence, where students are in charge of protecting their own containers for the duration of the class. The attacking includes a wide variety of attacks and tools, including active exploiting of web applications and services.
Very proud of each of our students who do not stop surprising us each year!
@grafana#Grafana and Friends Meetup Munich, co-hosting with SRE Meetup Munich. As per usual, we're taking the "and friends" seriously down to the stickers we bring.
We recently got a wifi-enabled hot tub. Some enterprising soul had already created a HA addon to work with it, so I set about implementing #observability, #automation and #alerting.
Amongst other things, it now starts heating automatically if there's plunge pricing on #octopusenergy Agile
Yesterday I added a graph to track TLS ciphersuite usage over time & immediately spotted an anomaly.
In mid-Feb, on our commercial CDN, CHACHA usage dropped from ~10-12% to ~0.5% & stayed there. The same did not happen on our own CDN so it seemed unlikely to be client behaviour.
Raised it with the CDN vendor & they tied it to a release which accidentally changed the behaviour to pref CHACHA for clients for whom CHACHA is top pref.
Having good data is 💯 #TLS#CDN#Grafana#webStats
The heartbeat of a machine can be seen in many locations - in this case, in the monitoring of temperatures inside the #cern#lhc magnet power connectors using #grafana and #timescale
These connectors interface between the outside world and the cosmically cold cryogenics of the superconductor inside. If not monitored and heated, they can freeze and form ice and dew!
As the machine ramps power up and down, so do their temperatures, forming an imprint of the daily operations in the graphs.
Dites les pro de #grafana, j'aimerais réussir à parser une chaîne de caractères du genre /ceci/est/une/chaine/ pour en extraire un bout et en faire une variable pour dashboard.
Spotted #Grafana on #BlueSky so my question is what do we have to do to encourage more companies to come to #Mastodon because Bluesky is very much still a beta
As per usual, I'll be at #KubeCon next week. If you always had a question or just wanted to meet, hit me up.
For the first time in many many years I don't have to give a single talk, so I will amble back and forth between customer meetings and hanging out at the #Grafana booth.
And we'll have the #Prusa Mk4 for #3Dprinting swag on site. I preprinted roughly two spools into coins, earrings, and keychain ornaments on my XL.
Playing with #Grafana and loading a local CSV.
I've got data from several sources in the file, the source name is in the first column of the CSV, how can I get grafana to plot four different plots, one for each source name?
