The beauty of double long runs is that by the second half of the second run, my legs are feeling it and I am shuffling along. Slow and steady means lots of quiet time to look around. So many little wonders!
Finished the year with a half marathon which originally was just going to be a 2hr easy run was feeling good around 15km so decided to up the pace and hr to complete the 21km distance. On the whole even though there’s been set backs this year, its been very productive, very enjoyable and cathartic and extremely happy with a total of 2268 km distance ran/walked for 2023 #running#longrun#halfmarathon#adidasrunning#runningcommunity#runnersofmastodon#mastorunners#oldguysrule

Yeah, I did it! Actually I was only aiming for 30 kms, but finally ended up with 33. Not a problem, although I had not planned the long run for today, it just happened while I was on the road. While running I was listening to THE ANDROID‘S DREAM by John Scalzi, one of my all-time favorites. Fun fact: I wanted to run slower and ended up running at my usual speed. No idea how that happened, I probably just slipped back into my routine. #Running#applewatchultra#longrun
