A question for the literary community—is there a name for a retelling of a well-known story from the point of view of an overlooked/dismissed/reviled/unexamined character?
For example:
• Wicked
• The Wide Sargasso Sea
• The Wind Done Gone
There doesn't seem to be a term, the way there is "spinoff", "vehicle", "prequel", "reboot" etc. to describe other re-versionings of original works.

I don't actually use TikTok or even the "sliding" function on youtube shorts, but I feel like my attention span has gotten much worse after they started getting popular. Even watching a 2 minute video feels dreadfully long, let alone a 10 or 20 minute video, so I end up watching a mostly short animation memes instead.
