> the yellow at the top represents those whose gender exists outside the gender binary,
> the purple indicates those who do relate to it, having genders that fall somewhere between "man" and "woman" or are considered a mix of them.[16]
> The white represents those who are multigender, with many or all genders,
> and the black refers to those who are agender, without a gender.[17]
One last #QuantumComputing thought for now, #nonbinaryday version. I've sometimes seen the joke that qubits use they/them pronouns because they're nonbinary, but there's a few problems with that:
Qubits aren't nonbinary.
Qubits aren't people, and don't have either a gender or a lack there of.
Day 10!
Oh just realized this is two things squashed together, which could be taken as some representation of my gender so happy Nonbinary Day I guess.
Today is #NonBinaryDay. I don't talk about this much. I do identify as #NonBinary with they/them pronouns.
One thing I want to do with my math blog is interview Non-Binary and Transgender mathematicians who are public with their identities. That is the representation that I would have liked to have seen as a kid. #science#scicomm
Today is "International Non-Binary People's Day", and if you are a cis person, honestly the best thing you could do to support us is to do everything in your power to remove unnecessary "sex" or "gender" fields from everything from official government records to your random internal corporate databases.
Happy International Non-binary People's Day!! This is your friendly reminder that we don't owe you our androgyny or your preferred pronouns for us, but we do owe you our #LockedTomb cosplay.
I'm agender. This means I don't have a gender. I don't exist on a gender 'spectrum' between male and female, because my qualities don't relate to gender at all.
I use she/her/hers pronouns because this is what I grew up with and nearly 40 years in I don't want to change them now. If you make gendered assumptions based off them, that's YOU problem. They are just words. Literally just ways to point out which noun you're talking about (me).
🪷 14 July is #InternationalNonbinaryDay! 💛💜🖤 Being #NonBinary can be very frustrating at times, but being completely yourself outside of the gender binary is liberating. On #NonBinaryDay followers of #Antinous shout it loud:
I'm valid!
You're valid!
We're all valid! 💛💜🖤 🪷
