Holy hell. McCready blew the fucking lid off the place with this Black solo. It's amazing that he can still put that much heart & soul into a solo he's been playing for 30+ years. I'm nearly in tears just watching it at my desk, I would have lost my mind if I were there for it.

I hesitated to include this, because it inspired more shitty knockoffs than anything since Appetite for Destruction – although that isn’t PJ’s fault – and it’s always sounded like it was recorded from the far end of an aircraft hangar. Still, there’s a half dozen great songs here – “Even Flow,” “Alive” and the scintillating “Black,” etc. For years it was the yarl heard around the world, but #Vitalogy will always be my Pearl Jam jam. #GreatRockAlbums

Dang. It sounds better on #SoundCloud in the speakers than I thought it would. I had to mix it using headphones. This song was a battle to mix. Today I started all over again. I think it turned out great! It just reminds me of #PearlJam. What band does it remind you of? What do you think? Was it worth 2 days of head banging, mostly against a desk?
