Because way too often, what is being sold as "Agile" is just Kanban with status meetings at 10 am.
Apropos of nothing, my employer is hiring for a project manager role (the one I just vacated with my November 1 promotion/role change). Must be in or near the Kansas City metro because it’s hybrid (officially one day a week remote, but that particular team is way more flexible than that).

One of our team leads as a good programmer, but not a great one. The people under him were awesome. So he would have them laboriously explain their technical proposals. They would have to oversimply explanations so that he could understand. It was painful.
It was also amazing how many times this revealed overarchitecting of the code. Best team lead ever.
