Light sources are now independent of player vision and the torches flicker.

There's still some wackiness of being able to see walls as lit when lit from the other side, but the progress feels great here considering how little time I've had to devote since the weekend.

In town, the camera is fixed, overhead
When you go to the Dungeon, it swaps to PlayerCam
And back to over head when you find the stairs!

A lot of have a hunger mechanic to keep the player moving. Gum Flesh goes the Spelunky route.

The Epiglot is a super powerful invincible enemy that spawns if you take too much time on a level.

Could do with some help with Godot
I can't see how to align scene-swapping, collisions, and gridmaps...

I have a Main Scene, that has scene-swap code, and 2 scenes (town, dungeon)
I populate a town gridmap with floor tiles, and a random stairs tile
I then swap out the stairs tile for a stairs scene, that will have collision signal, to tell the Main Scene Switcher to move to Dungeon.
But I can't figure this bit.

Any help?

I'm not sure what I'm going to make with this dungeon yet.
It started as a Random Map Maker for Android, for use with TTRPG, but I think I could turn it into something. Some kind of neo-Roguelike?
Once I've got proof-of-concept for a Map, I'll see what next.

Another evening of "work" and I finished implementing the chainlighting spell for our on . The problem was there were too many enemies and so I died (also I had to spend two turns standing still to recover stamina).
The animation is a bit fast, but you should still be able to appreciate @politopo 's great

Nuclear Throne is an incredible game, just as I'd heard. I'm glad I jumped on it finally. Figuring out the different random power-up mutations, the runs are fun as hell, twin stick shooting, permadeath, it's a blast. It's tough! But I'm gonna keep trying to get to that throne 🔫

I did the #daily #CavesOfQud build. Died horribly (this is the way) quite proud of what I achieved though. It was a fun break from reality. exploring a procedurally generated high tech-low-life fantasy swamp. Love me a good chrome revolver and salve injector.

After a few years of silence, I want to share two current screenshots of my long time work-in-progress C64-styled RPG "Albareth".
It's going to be a party-based roguelike skirmish battler, in which you free procedurally generated islands from evil. I use Unity for development, because I'm not skilled enough to program on a real C64. Please expect not release in the near future. :)

Hey rat punchers, Shattered Pixel Dungeon v2.4.0 is going to be releasing to everyone around the middle of this coming week!

The v2.4.0 beta now contains 11 trinkets total, with 3 recent additions: the mimic tooth, wondrous resin, and eye of newt. I think 11 is a good place to start, but there's lots of room to add more in the future as well!
