The Joy of Writing When A Story Builds Upon Itself
One of the things I love about writing in my fantasy world is that the story ideas just seem to flow. I can be working on a story--for example the new serial I'm starting--and all of a sudden pieces begin falling into place. The short story that I've released for free (pick it up multiple places here), A Pony In Time,

It's finally here. I'm rolling out the second book of The River City Chronicles, Down the River, on a weekly basis on my blog starting today. Here's chapter one:

Looking to dive into some Kindle Vella stories? There are 13 and stories collected here: there's action and adventure, historical fantasy, mythology, samurai + ninjas, romance, superheroes, epic fantasy, and more.

The first chapters of each are free, & then you can decide if you want to continue on the platform through purchasing tokens to use to unlock more of the story.

Help, please? I'm new to the , and enjoying socializing. I took a look into using the WordPress plugin on a blog but it looks like that's not a viable option, at least for the moment. I'm a little bewildered by the Fediverse still and my eyes are starting to glaze from doing research, so it might be easier to ask: does anyone have reasonably simple (and, unfortunately, cheap) suggestions for a method for posting regular blog posts (actually, chapters)?

@prysmcat I think the only viable option for ActivityPub support right now is WordPress via plugin, but it's at in extreme infancy phase.

Suppose it's time for me to stop being nervous, and just go ahead and tell you lovely Mastodon people:

I have been sharing my science fiction story, "Radiant Inverse", on Royal Road (a serial fiction website) for the past couple of weeks.

There are already 13 chapters up. :rainbowdance:

I would love it if you'd check it out. No need for an account -- but accounts can comment and leave reviews!

I'm going to write a web serial. I've got, like a dozen ideas though and narrowing this down is tough.

I can probably narrow it down to three or four based on interest, suitability, and sustainability.

Task 1: Get my to successfully federate: Check.

Now all I need to do is figure out which to launch, work out my YouTube membership tiers, formalize my project's hacknplan board, finish the script for my 3 video, and watch S1E1.

Looking for good here in the Fediverse. Don't be shy about self-promo here if you or someone you know writes.
