Not sure how I've missed the 2015 spy film "Bridge of Spies" by Spielberg with Tom Hanks in the leading role. I just watched it, and it was really good.
Spy movies are generally just so-so in my opinion. This one is less about the spy craft and more about a series of moral dilemmas. First about who is and isn't protected by the law and due process, then on to the question of who is and isn't expendable when powers play chess with people's lives.
