Next Friday May 31 at 17:30 UTC we're ending the month with our Community Office Hours all about the Thunderbird release process — from how releases are staged now to future possibilities. @wsmwk and Daniel Darnell will be our guests to answer our questions and yours! ✨
If you’ve visited the Thunderbird website, maybe you’ve noticed something. Is it more modern? More organized? Dare we say it, a little shinier? ✨
@freehive has worked their magic on our website. Read all about the changes, check out the new and much improved site yourself, and add Freehive to your contacts for whenever you or your project needs a creative agency! 🎨
I received two emails late last night from a user of my #Thunderbird extension.
The first read, in total, "WHY AM I GETTING HUNDREDS OF NOTICES!!!!"
The second, a bit later, read (again, this is the entire message), "JEZUS FUCKINNG CHRIST THE MESSAGES" #smdh#TechSupport

I would be happy to help you solve whatever problem you are having, but for me to be able to do that you're going to need to be more specific. You haven't told me anything about what notices/messages you're talking about, so I can't possibly determine what is causing them or how to make them stop.

I see some people are really disappointed about Debian packaging a stripped-down version of KeePassXC. But hey, I actually wish there was also a minimal @thunderbird package without integrations of IRC or Matrix etc, just with core email functionality.
@thunderbird I joined Mozilla Connect just to submit this proposal. From what I've seen, submissions on there tend to be lengthy paragraphs lacking in clarity. I've written it in the structured style of Fedora changes, thanks to @Conan_Kudo :P
@triskelion@Conan_Kudo Okay, thanks not only for posting the submission AND for doing it with such an awesome template! (We're sort of a fan of Neal's here!)
I cannot figure out how to install a #flatpak application with an additional locale. On my workstation, #thunderbird is installed with en only, while on my laptop it is installed with en, de. I would like to install de on my workstation as well. If anyone has any advice on how to do this, thanks in advance. 🫣
It was 69% complete, right below the threshold. Since then there has been no significant change. If you are a K-9 Mail user and a native Korean speaker, please consider helping out.
More bug fixes, including F-Droid metadata! Material 3 progress and targeting Android 14. All this AND glimpses of a two-app future in the April 2024 Progress Report for Thunderbird for Android. 📱 ✨
@thunderbird I hope the UI elements won't become oversized with the transition to material 3 conponents! Many people still use phones with 9:16 screen, which is often overlooked by app developers.
