I feel like we're always super quick to cancel trans women when they fuck up, and that this is mostly borne from deep seated transmisogyny that we're wholly uninterested in examining.
Like, when Natalie Wynn and Chelsea Manning make mistakes it takes us 3 seconds to cancel them with comments about how we ALWAYS KNEW something was amiss... and I wonder how much of it is just relief that "those loud vociferous 'women' (nudge-wink) will finally stop taking space".
