Gotta love how conservative evangelical Christians consciously and intentionally behave in the most repellent manner then when the rest of us notice it they instantly claim martyrdom.
This was me 25 years ago - 1998 Hillsong College graduation. That's Brian Houston behind me, and there's about 1000 people in the auditorium. A few months later I was in full-time in an Assemblies of God ministry. We've come a long way kid. #deconstruction#deconversion#transition
I think it’s quite slick that with @write_as you have a mastodon feed that simply publishes your articles. You can follow my writing at @blog and/or you can subscribe via email at https://danielmrose.com.
"In Savannah, Georgia, a female-led non-profit works in hard hats and pink high-vis vests in a gradually growing business of reuse and recycling—deconstruction.
Deconstruction is what you do if most parts of a building could and should be used again; because they’re made from heritage materials; because they’re built with boards of high-quality endangered timbers; because otherwise it would all be thrown in a landfill.
Re:purpose Savannah is a 501(c)3 that takes old, condemned buildings apart for their bricks, timber, door frames, metalwork, and other components and sells them to construction firms building new homes for discerning clients. They’ve taken apart beach houses, dairies, bungalows, cottages, and traditional homes in town."
Bwahaha, anti-lgbt parents would make their kids miss out on the coolest plots!
You can just taste the #postmodernism in Nimona. But it’s not tasteless, underneath the #narrative#deconstruction lies a good old premodern tale of sly evil masquerading as good and wise, and how everyone gets fooled all too easily.
I’m intrigued to see if there’s a community of folks who would like to be part of a Matrix Space focused on #faith, #deconstruction, and #reconstruction.
The process of deconstructing one’s faith is so much better done in community. Let’s ask questions and redefine faith together.
