“It was a big day out for us. Dad did a briefing on synthetic turf and as a health threat to a local MP. Then we went into the city to join VIC to for a bit attending an indigenous culture workshop (on the edge), then the Critical Mass - Climate Edition! VIC ride. So we did about 40 km of cycling today with Dad. On the way home he stopped at Coburg Skyrail dog park for us to have a run around. We let dad buy a pizza in return for his dinner before we bagsied Dad’s favourite armchair in front of the TV with the Giro D’Italia on.”

Today is a very special day at our house - it's 's third Gotcha Day!

3 years ago this morning I drove to the Benson Animal Shelter with all my fingers and toes crossed that she'd be there.

She came out of that kennel like a rocket, and we tried a little walkies before getting in the car for the i.e. 30min drive home.

She spent that whole walk joyously jump-biting me. 😍 🎉

Enzo ran away from the farm this morning. I panicked. He’s not a country dog and he was all alone. I was absolutely terrified that a bear got him or he was hit by something. Turns out, the boy made it all the way to the highway, crossed it, and kept going. We figured he ran about 10km.

He’s filthy and wet and exhausted, but he’s home now. I love that boy so much.

We took Enzo to spend a few days being a farm dog with some friends. Their four year old son is now my dog’s best friend. He insisted the dog be comfortable while they watch his favourite TV show.

My dog isn’t going to want to come home.

Our other dog, the Old Man, came with us to my mother-in-law’s so we can keep an eye on him. All he wants to do is sleep outdoors. He is comfortable and refuses to move for anything.
