Time for an update on the socks I'm knitting! The first one is almost ready to start the ribbing, about 15 more rounds to go. I did include some calf increases 😉
I've picked up a WIP that I've been avoiding for a while.
It's a shawl in a long banana shape, and the main part has garter stitch, twisted ribbing and lace which is completed.
Now I'm up to the lacy border, worked sideways and knitted onto the body as you go.
I've never joined this way so had been putting off knitting.
Bit the bullet today and started. Done the first set of rows of 28 sets and was pleasantly surprised at how easy it is.
Yes, I have oodles of knitting WIPs but as usual I started something else. 😂
I thought I'd experiment with lace on a pair of socks. Did 2 lines of diamond lattice on the front of the sock from toe to cuff.
On the needles at the moment are too many WIPs - one short sleeved tshirt, one Aran cardigan, 2 scarves, 3 shawls, 2 pairs socks. think I should work on finishing them....
Oops, instead I started a new pair of scrappy socks. 😜 😂
@SuzyShearer@knitting Last week I ordered the fingering weight wool to start my first pair of #knittedSocks but I can’t find a beginner’s sock pattern that I want to start with. Can you please point me in the right direction to find a pattern?
