I’m still working on finishing my first pair of Laura Nelkin’s Larch Peds (yes, still…). But in the meantime, she has released on update with the very feature I decided I want to incorporate in my next pair of these: an shaped arch support band! https://www.instagram.com/p/C7CUsutrVF1/
Got a tin of chocolates for Xmas. They were delicious. As the old tin I used for some of my knitting notions had finally died, I transferred everything into the new one.
No matter how many times my grandkiddies come, they still have to check in case miraculously the tin contains chocolate again.😅 😜
After a couple of weeks break from posting a blog, I'm back.
This week's blog post is my roadtrip to the 45˚ Fibre Festival in Gore at the beginning of May. It features knitting and spinning and buying crafty things, and winning a raffle prize.
When robbing Peter to pay Paul makes sense- a whole lot of sense.
When I lived in Toronto with my daughter last year, I took the chance to buy a few good yarns. I found CaMaRose Løvetand, knowing it's the ideal yarn for those of us who live in hell, er, tropical climate. I started Outline Tee by Jessie Maed which I finished when I returned to Manila. I wore it a couple of times, but did not like it. So I frogged it to knit this top by Beth MacDonald instead. #knitting#knittersofmastodon
Gestrickt wird hier hier natürlich auch noch! Und unabsichtlich thematisch sehr passend, denn das Tuch hieß schon vor dem letzten Wochenende 'Polarlicht':
I definitely need to sort out my yarn.
I have yarn in baskets, in cupboards, and alongside my chair.
The two baskets alongside my chair are my 'working' (...er, um...lol) ones, they're holding the current WIPs that I pick up regularly.
The cupboards hold my main stash and patterns, needles, etc...
Then there are the hand-dyed yarn clubs I belong to that mean I get more each month.
Of course - collecting yarn and using yarn are two different hobbies 😂 😅 😜
When you get out of control with organization even though you know it will only last a short time and soon you will have another abandoned tool sadly languishing. Exhibit: Notion workspace that initially had just Stash in it and now has become my full-blown mini-personal-Ravelry-esque repository of knitting data. #knitting#FiberArts@knitting (remove group in reply) #Notion
Today's MeMade garments are a hat (crocheted), a skirt and bandanna (sewn), and a waistcoat and socks (knitted).
Here's a photo from last year of our cat putting her seal of approval (i.e. hair) on my hand-knitted sock collection. #MeMadeMay#knitting#socks#cat#sewing#crochet
Time to start the heel. Though I fear I may have miscalculated some, the foot seem a bit long.
I think I'll still finish them as is, I recon they might fit my sister if they are a little too big for me and it would be a nice template to use for adjustments for the next pair. I have the same yarn in a different colorway as well.
In any case I'm sure they'll fit someone.
Just finished this hooded baby wrap for a work friend. The ears have made it way more 'baby yoda' than I intended and I'm trying to decide whether a simple embroidered face would help or not
I have knitted a littol chikkin, because I have a lot of leftover sock yarn. This is the Emotional Support Chicken on Ravelry. Of course my kitty immediately decided it was for her! #knitting#handmade#handcraft#fiberarts
I had a little time this morning. Did I do more on the gusset of my second Larch Ped? No, I did not. I did organize my WIP list, which now shows I have 16 WIPs spread across two different locations. (Note this may be an underestimate.) At least 2 are just awaiting finishing. And, I added another one (for a total of 17) by casting on for another pair of those cute slippers I just made for a friend. This one for me. #knitting#FiberArts@knitting (remove group in reply)
