I find people to be actually mad and increasingly bad. When do we get more people pushing change challenge in these spaces, please?

Am increasingly seeing this as a culture of fear, or more real as a culture of fear pushed as power politics.

People are suiciding the idea of the agen, they just can't help themselves. 40 years of worshipping of the affects people's attempt to be humane "common sense" wins in the current mess each time.

This is BAD, very bad, come on guys

Hamishcampbell,

@witchescauldron I went to a geek meetup yesterday, and I came away with a feeling that our insanity is too deep to move away from.

This is a problem for people who would like to see some active change and challenge. People really are insane in the era of and

Ideas from the mental help profershern please for dealing with "common sense" insanity.

Thanks.

There’s an interesting parallel universe where “open culture” is primarily about community, not licensing, and in that universe the reddit+stackover moderator strikes are the most interesting thing to happen in open culture in a long time.

@luis_in_brief @NGIZero @sovtechfund

All of our rights and progressive policies comes from underfunded counter cultures. All of them, everything we value. If we are at all seruse about making the world a better place, we need to shift this balance, and we need to actively stop people from this needed shift

This is a hard conversation to have with people - but without this hard conversation, counter culture projects are outside their "common sense" thus blocked.

Looking at the world I see "common sense" insanity and mental illness as the dominating social paths. This wave has been building for 40 years and is maybe finally building to a crest. To get any good outcome small groups of us have to surf down this cresting wave of social madness and disintegration to plant the seedlings of fresh growth in the compost of todays and worshiping decay.

I get the feeling we are running on dregs on the Dev side, social movement come in waves this one is ebbing into the no bad thing but not I think what any of us won't for "our"

I don't think understand that the left hate their thinking as much as the right do... it's a dead ideology, as is the right-wing of the last 40 years of

Let's step away from the mess these people have made and think what next, what do we want to build with "dangerous"

What do you think is the purpose of networks like Mastodon and Bluesky?

Hamishcampbell,

@dave they are both , but one is for human tribes, the other "common sense". As long as these bridge, am happy.

We need to take the time to talk to our people about this, it matters.

Have people who fixated on noticed that they are useless? We might get some change challenge done when they do... so please tell them thanks.

Fluffy office occupations are a good tool for creating more real dialogue with organizations that are BLOCKING the change and challenge that is needed https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=MixCTe334io this is an example from

We are saturated in in all culture, look anywhere and this is obvious, from Netflix to Google search, from old school TV to legacy news media, signal to noise is feeding mental and social mess, uneasy and desease.

While we have our heads down worshiping the we cannot do anything about this inhumane mess.

SkyDeck has been launched; Tweetdeck for BlueSky.

The public and press are already enchanted with Bluesky. They know how to build a brand, they have big resources, the tech is advancing rapidly, and users are thrilled. If the Fediverse doesn't have a response to it, besides just building "bridges," it's in danger of going Betamax. And that would be bad.

witchescauldron,

@shoq no not, we are doing a different project lets support this and not get distracted by mess agenda :)

This original post is or die - this is so obviously the worship of the in the era of that we should not have to talk about this kinda mess

witchescauldron, (edited ) to random

Note: just saying something does not make it "true", you have to fight vested interests and "common sense" to make what you say "true" words are just wind without action, truth is what we fight for.

On this be very annoyed with most western Buddhists and on our side.

Been trying to work with people. They are unbelievably vile with no idea they are behaving badly.

This is a mess we should not put up with, ideas?

VERY happy to read this article this morning about the #mainstreaming of #FIDO #passkeys. The #FIDOAlliance has come a long way in just a few short years! GO GET A FIDO KEY NOW! The poison that is pop is that it pushes away shared world-views, and thus is a useful companion to the dominant of our economic mess.

Both of these ideologies are now dead and rotting, but this rot is festering the current mess spreading.

We need to compost

Building consensuses on shared world views helps with this, talk to your nabbers.

The project is an initiative aimed at developing better ways of having "trust" based conversations and "trust" based "governance" in the open web. The project is built on a voluntary cooperative and collaborative alliance that is native to the fediverse, which is a decentralized network of interconnected social media platforms.

witchescauldron,

The project emphasizes the importance of recognizing where power comes from in the context of the fediverse and building with this difference rather than trying to drag the back to the path.

As we go , there will be increasingly bad behaver from our more grassroots crew in our organising spaces, this is the normal self-destructive nature of this path.

Ideas to mediate this mess, please?

witchescauldron,

@msaunders this is commenting on things going on in other places, people are going to be pushing "weard" native culture out to make space for "common sense" culture as it floods in. it's a normal process that we have not put in strong enough structures to counter this bad behaver.

witchescauldron, to random

there will be lots of VERY bad behaver from the every side in this reboot, let's try and keep diversity of voices in place with process. Please don't become a prat, as it's easy to start, and It's hard to stop, mess and more mess.

Hamishcampbell,

@witchescauldron prat ish behaver comes in waves, that matchs the waves of and the Alt reaction to them, this flotsam can make things messy so good to shovel and compost.

Jack promoting RFK Jr. on Bluesky demonstrates that Bluesky intends to best Twitter in key time-to-enshitification metric.

witchescauldron, (edited )

@MissingThePt It's interesting to see the hashtag as an evolution of the hashtag. The first is capture and then dispole the second is capture and then profit. One is about capitalism, the other is some liberal whitewash that people can say.
