A law on the confiscation of cars with Russian license plates has come into force in Latvia.
Owners of such cars will be required to pay a fine of €750 to €2,000. The exception is for diplomatic cars and those traveling through Latvia in transit.
Emmanuel Macron and Volodymyr Zelensky will sign a bilateral security agreement this week, French media report, citing the Elysée.
“This agreement will be a continuation of the obligations that the G7 countries assumed in the margins of the NATO summit in Vilnius in July 2023,” indicated the French President's office.
