Now that I have paperless-ngx running and my is working, any suggestions for a software for ?

I have an ADF duplex scanner and will mainly scan b&w ("lineart"), but sometimes in color, too. Output files should be PDF, OCR is optional. I need to be able to remove empty back side pages.

Is there anything that supports different, auto-detected page dimensions in a single PDF as well as auto-cropping and skew removal?

wegen der guten Artikel-Serie von @_DigitalWriter_ zu -ngx habe ich mir heute eine Installation auf den Docker Server geschmissen. Ich befürchte fast, da tut sich das nächste Rabbit-Hole auf... 😂

Leider beherrscht mein Multifunktionsdrucker kein Scannen ins Netzwerk. Dafür muss ich mir also einen möglichst simplen Workaround überlegen.

I feel like I'm bombarded with things I wanna do devel-wise so I'm just gonna write them down here so I don't feel overwhelmed lol:

  • Work on my - framework creatively named as mango to be used as a base for all of my other Masto-Django projects.

  • Port my other creatively named projects such as rizz (RSS-Masto bots like @lowyat and @soyacincau) and waktusolat (@waktusolat) to use mango as a base when it's finished.

  • New project based on mango to track/update local COVID-19 data on Mastodon.

  • Create a chart for -ngx ( document management system) and deploy it to my .

  • Update my long abandoned clog (web blog/todo/money tracker app) project.

  • Develop a new web app, that could potentially be used as an e-invitation card/management portal. If this one goes well, I could self host/deploy it for my own wedding eventually lmao.

  • Create a Helm chart for (FOSS URL shortener) and deploy it to my homelab.

Lots to do, for someone with extremely short attention span.

Now we have created the smart rule Import & OCR, which lets you easily import scans and make them searchable. For whom it may concern, Paperless-ngx (1) creates PDF/A (2) documents and embeds the OCRed text directly in the file. Those PDFs seem to be perfectly readable by my Obsidian plugin Text Extractor, and in turn searchable with Omnisearch.

So if you happen to have access to a Paperless instance, you can use it to convert your documents into a long-lasting format and download them into your Obsidian vault.

[Help!]
Irgendeine Idee?
