I installed and subscribed to #ParamountPlus, learned that #audioDescription isn't available on many pieces of content in the UK, and discovered that a US-based VPN doesn't work if you subscribed to the UK offering. I have now unsubscribed from and uninstalled Paramount Plus. #accessibility#exclusion

Sooo … since I’m no longer on mainstream social networks, and I doubt that campaigning for #StarTrekLegacy makes a lot of sense on the Fedi, I wonder what would happen if a large number of people were to email #ParamountPlus customer support with requests like “I can’t seem to find Star Trek: Legacy” or something like that.

Trying #paramountplus in #japan. Sadly they decided to launch with local companies, so even before I started I had low expectations. This is what I found:
Signup (Wowow) has no English
LG TV app has no language setting, just Japanese.
ST:SNW has subs, or dubs.
Subs are burn in, no way to remove.
Only S01
Low quality, no 4k, no DV.
Other content older.
So, worse than expected. I'll try again in a year I guess.
