“The commander is a martial support class that can issue commands to her allies, granting them extra movement, actions, reactions, and more. The guardian is an armored tank, who can taunt opponents and maximize the effectiveness of heavy armor to be a bulwark against nearly any threat.”
A defender with a taunt mechanic? A martial support class that gives movement and action to allies??
Ok i might have gotten sidetracked, and instead of preparing for the #pathfinder2e session tomorrow, i spent an hour writing a poem about a lost city the players are gonna visit...
It's about a city, called Feras Leigh, high up in the mountains, that was once inhabited by elves, but through a great war the city got wiped out and the elves got slaughtered or had to flee. After the war is over one of the elves that managed to flee, returns with a few others, and gives the deceased a proper burial, before leaving the ruined city forever and writing this poem.
Up in the city,
drowned in mist
I sat and stared
and reminisced
on olden days
of love and dance
when we were here
yet now i glance
on nothing
but the cold and bleak
wasteland,
I stand in and seek
the past
to put my heart to rest
which aches and yearns
within my chest
remembering
long gone feast and fete
beneath the moonlit
mountain gate
O, Feras Leigh,
i ask and plea
take care of those,
who couldn't flee
take care of those
we lay to rest
and guard
in an eternal quest
the heirloom
of our troubled kin
and memories
of our love within
Troubled,
woeful I retreat
into the streets
so cold with sleet
returned to home
now long at last
just dreaming
of the days that passed
no trace left
of joy we shared
the passion,
treasures, no one dared
to think
would be ephemeral, yet
now lie in stone
a silhouette
Up in the city,
drowned in mist
My heart remains,
and lies - unkissed
@nionidh ahhh, I genuinely love this!! you have such a nice flow with rhymes and your use of enjambments really add a lot to the tone of this poem. it makes it both feel like a kind of prayer, but a bit frantic or fraught with emotion, almost like the spoken word gets stuck in a throat :heartss:
hey, any #pathfinder2e#pathfinder players out there have any advice for building a rogue? specifically a scoundrel type rogue, I'm having fun thinking of the build craft stuff but the dedication system is kinda overwhelming me and plotting out a build is getting kind of difficult
@pixel I tend to make characters in Pathbuilder and carry them thru to level 20 to see what's available, then make a copy and go back and change/tweak to see what else is available. Fortunately I don't tend to be much of a power gamer or optimiser so taking a level-by-level approach ends up dominating as I advance levels; those early 1-20 versions end up being a good guide but what happens in-game has more of an influence than expected. I planned out a sniper to level 20 for Pathfinder Society play and then ended up doing a rebuild at level 7 as a Spellshot because I wasn't getting good use out of some of the sniper abilities. I would never have imagined that at level 1!
the system is really big and complex tho, so explaining it over text in this format is gonna be a bit of a thing. do you have discord by any chance? having an actual chat program or even a call might make this easier ^^ but only if you're comfortable with that ofc. no worries if not 💚
The upcoming Tian Xia books made me realize, both of these guys are gods of drinking on Golarion. So there's no way they haven't gotten together to have, er, drinks. Yeah. Drinks.
