This vendor exhibited a camera that can take 100,000 frames per second, other vendors had demonstrations where you could see individual droplets in a shower.

I'm off to Brisbane to see the mighty Cirith Ungol, live. I'll be riding the Honda CRF300 Rally down so I can explore a bit while I'm there. Should be awesome!

I found this lovely spot by a creek when exploring an old bitumen road.

There were a couple of extinguished campfires here, and a stack of kindling. Seems popular for camping.

There's not a whole lot out here. Middlemount QLD was the only petrol and food for 271 km. Hardly any traffic, and no police or speed traps for the whole journey so far.

My friends always tell me how boring the highway is, but I missed having plenty of servos or covered rest areas to break up the ride and relax for a bit.

Spent the night at Duaringa QLD. Nice place, but very small - so small that there's not even a pub, restaurant, or cafe.

Luckily, there's a 24/7 servo, so my dinner was a chiko roll and Ice Break (the best iced coffee in Australia). 💪🏻

I also reached 10,000 km on the Honda CRF300 Rally in its first nine months. I'll need to get it serviced by the time I get back home.

Wowan QLD has some lovely old buildings at their museum.

I have no idea what that car is. I thought its badge said Volvo at first, but it's actually Volox.

I stopped here for petrol, but both servos were closed. Lucky the buildings made this little detour worthwhile. 🥲

A rusty old car. The badge says "Volox".
A photo including the rusty car from the previous photo, a red train carriage, and galvanised steel school building. The photo doesn't show it, but the train carriage is actually connected to the school building's balcony to serve as an additional room.

Sometimes when roads are moved, parts of the original road are just left behind instead of being removed.

I like to follow these when I see them, to find out where they go. Sometimes they lead to interesting places, like the creek yesterday. This one just stops at a dead end where it would otherwise intersect with a new road.

Moura QLD also has this neat marker to identify the 150° Meridian. Now if I ever need to find it, I can just ride out here. 😁
