@NohatCoder I definitely know the feeling! My project is on easy mode wrt dependencies, because it is for a niche hardware (#playdate), it is hard to drag in dependencies there even if you want to :)
With the average game price on the Catalog being just $5, it's not like buying a new game is as costly as buying games for other games consoles. :face_laughing_with_sweat_drop_fb:
In case you have somehow managed to miss it, AmigoTracker is a Protracker module music player for Playdate. It plays most 4 channel mod formats and has nice mustache.
Available on itch (sorry, didn't make the cut for Catalog).
finally felt comfortable enough with the new version of the game to update the main poster gif shown on the catalog page (and elsewhere) – https://play.date/games/rowbot-rally/
ultimate comparison shot below. gif 1 is the old build, dated around september/october of 2023. gif 2 is the new build, work in progress; gif captured today
i spent today working on adding a CPU, and he's now up to parity with vers. old (can follow the course; can crash; can beat player) — collisions are next
We're a small #indiedev team working on humorous, whimsical, imaginative games that can be enjoyed by most ages. We have a new website live at https://synapticsugar.games and an itch.io page at https://synapticsugar.itch.io where we hope to post more about our #gamedev. We currently have a game in development on #playdate, and if this sounds right up your alley, we hope you can give us a follow or a boost!
Started my first tiny #playdate project: a confusing citybuilding/puzzle game inspired by a visit at the Bauhaus museum. Not sure yet if it will be a 'real' game though 😅
