Fits my #AudioTechnica#TurnTable and receiver perfectly. Even comes with two shelves that can hold around 200 records. I'm very impressed with the quality so far.
Jeff Wayne's Musical War of the Worlds
1978 Canada pressing
Can't seem to get enough of this album :) which, sadly has water damage/ mould on the sleeves and liners. Safely wrapped in new ones now but...
Question:
I've been using this vintage Discwasher brush since it was new.
I'm thinking it's not really 'state of the art' for record cleaning these days, so I'm looking for a modern solution that won't break the bank. Not interested in ultrasonic (currently). Maybe something like spinclean? Though the Ama$$on prices seem more than it should be worth.
I'm cool with mixing my own cleaning liquid, just looking for something that will let me clean the occasional flea market find to the point where they actually could sound good :)
Acoustic Modular System vs Mechanical Techno - live set
New video online now, me and Sam Underwood's complete (hour long) live set at the end of our residency in France a couple of months ago - https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=G0XdXMDs0RM
New live video up now: Cath Roberts and Graham Dunning live at TACO! last month. @cathrobots plays synth and sampler; I'm playing extended turntable, records of machine sounds, walkman, tapes of field recordings https://youtu.be/57-S3PrZ4m0
"TACO! presents an evening of live musical performances by artists working within experimental music. Each has an approach to performance that employ self-made instruments or sound making devices in the production of their work, fusing electronic, acoustic and analogue sounds and textures, often in improvised sets. The evening has been curated by sound artist and muscian Kate Carr."
hey y'all. i'm looking for some #help putting together a new #hifi setup. last week i acquired an #Aiwa brand #turntable and three matching #speakers, and i'd really like to find a matching #amplifier, but so far my search results have been suboptimal.
my turntable is an Aiwa PX-E860, and i have one Aiwa SX-C605 center speaker and 2 Aiwa SX-R275 stereo speakers. the turntable has a 2001 manufacture date, so i'm betting the speakers are about the same since i found them all in the same place.
i can't find a product catalogue or anything from around that time, so i'm truly at a loss as to what model of amplifier i should be looking for.
Next 45 up on the #TurnTable is Diamante by #AtTheDriveIn. I'm assuming this was probably releases right before or in conjunction with their "comeback" album, Interalia.
I'm mostly a streaming music listener these days. Once in a blue moon I get the old media out. Long time no vinyl play. My original turntable from back in the day too. It's doing better than me considering its age. Only one belt change, a few stylus & cartridge swaps & some wood glue applied to correct an unglued belt idler wheel (Thankyou oo-tube). #vinyl#Music#turntable
What is a good budget speaker for a first timers setup with rt82 turntable and pp444 preamp?
I got the rt82 for the option of upgrading along with great reviews....
