A visionOS build of Ambre just got rejected because Terms and Policy links don't work in the paywall.
Problem is that we set the URLs as modifiers to the SubscriptionStoreView. Apple handles the presentation of the URLs under the hood, so we can't do much here.
I asked App Review if they can approve since this is a bug by Apple. Fingers crossed! 🤞
I wish it was easier to take good (read: not tilted) screenshots of #visionOS apps running on actual hardware but alas, my head is wobbly.
Anyway, @forscore 14.2 will natively support visionOS and is coming soon! I don’t have press resources at the ready but if anyone is looking for apps to cover I’m happy to supply whatever you need.
Loona is gorgeous!! but $20/mo subscription is the wrong business model. That’s more than most video streaming services. I hope they figure it out. #visionOS#VisionPro
So I am still super excited about the #VisionPro, but it looks like it the focus is on computing experiences, and not so much on enhancing the real environment. For instance, document recognition, and other camera related things have to be done using another device like an iPhone that is in proximity to the Vision Pro. I'm hoping this gets fixed in #VisionOS 2.
There is no reason why Apple couldn’t make one of the immersive sceneries in visionOS be an iTunes Visualizer.
There is absolutely no reason why they couldn’t bring back cover flow that you can swipe left or right with your hands.
Apple Vision Pro had to be one of those things that make you go “Woah!” every time you use it. Not just the first time. And it should make you want to use it again, and again, and again.
Is anyone else having problems where app store downloads just spin forever on #AppleVisionPro? I thought maybe there was an outage, but apple system status says it’s all good; I don’t even get the purchase prompt. #visionOS#VisionPro
(Also, there's a 50% first year discount 👀 - also applicable for Zenitizer on iOS or watchOS, of course; you don't need a #VisionPro to take advantage of it)
It is still very weird to ship an app that I've only run on a device for a handful of hours back in August.
At least it’s basically just 2D (hidden bananas aside) - my hat is off to anybody that's shipped a full 3D app today, that's much harder to pull off developing in the simulator.
And congratulations to the Apple people who have been working on this stuff for literally years!
@jamesthomson We started 3D, but we started small :-) Day Ahead is an overview of your day's events in elegant 3D. It provides a beautiful, glanceable overview of your Apple Calendar events for the day, so you can always see your next meeting and tap to find out more. You can customise the event colour and view it vertically or horizontally to best suit your Spatial Computing workspace.

Christian Selig makes the YouTube Vision Pro app that Google wouldn’t
Google isn’t putting out a YouTube app for Apple’s headset, so a third-party developer Christian Selig, who was behind the now defunct Reddit app Apollo, stepped in to make one. Juno costs $4.99 and is already available from Apple’s App Store.
It's not on visionOS like the rest of my timeline (yet?) but my latest small side-project is so far an iOS RSS reader with some News influences. Aiming for something to casually browse recent posts, without encouraging completionism using unread counts or badges.
