TIL I learned that there's a subreddit devoted to mocking "ridiculous" names given to children by their parents (usually unusual spellings, and yes, some go completely overboard). I made it three posts before I found my daughter's name on one of their lists. Daddy is mad!!!

Providing D&D to hundreds of players is fun, and also exhausting! The number of folks wanting to try D&D is incredibly high. The movie, Baldur’s Gate, their friends’ recommendation, lots of reasons. We could have 2x DMs and not fill up.

Around 1960, fan Peter Graham said the golden age of science fiction is 12 (or maybe 13—the age doesn't change the point).

Is there a golden age of D&D and roleplaying games when players have time and ready friends and a fresh sense of wonder? What age is that?

While I understand people outraged over AI in art (I am too), we can hold companies to reasonable policies and allow for reasonable setbacks. If I had $1 for every time a coworker assured me something was one way, and then it was another way… I could work full time in RPGs.

@Tim_Eagon I think we lose the larger picture. A company like WotC is doing good work with good policies. No fan is talking to Canva and Photoshop and so on, however.
