After cleaning the outworld of my most messy ants Camponotus nicoborensis, I washed their nasty sand and gave it back to them in a big pile not expecting much. But look at the lovely sandcastles they have made! I’m so proud of them.

    My tortie is insisting i didn't feed her.
    Shes given up asking for the window to be opened.
    The last time she got out on my watch she brought back a live starling that flew around the house for a while
    That was several thousand times more starling than belongs in a house.

    Whenever I'm stressed out I just think about geology. I think about the glaciers of North America of the last ice age, two miles thick, the deep subsonic sounds they made as they moved over the rocks, carving striations in the landscape. I think about the erratics suspended in ice coming silently to rest at odd angles in an endless spring.

    The way that you can see, and smell and feel the cold of that much ice, before you see it. The way you can hear it singing darkly in your soul...

    @futurebird deer cant climb.
    They CAN be eaten and are significantly more high calorie than pine bark. Humans have the advantage of being omnivorous. We're kind of like rats. A weed species. If the trees are green, they would have needles which means the tree isn't dead.
    Starvation isn't hard but its far more likely to happen in a situation without green pines.

    Just for the record.
    I can't create formal documents or technical papers. I READ but cannot produce such things alone
    I have a specific writing disability that essentially requires having a conversation to be able to express things.
    Usually its q cause of me explaining to someone why their suggestions (prompt) don't match whatever is in my head

    So yes. A chat bot CAN be an accessibility tool.
    That's NOT an endorsement of chat gpt.

    Quick introduction.
    Hat. adhd/Austistc and very bad at accepting injustice because its convenient.
    I TRY to respect boundaries.
    I do NOT respect people who cause harm by violating clear boundaries and feel no obligation to set things right.
    I am not perfect but i attempt to listen when people need an ear.

    No criticism intended for the one im currently hanging out on. Its a party. Its not supposed to be something else. But basically mostly the local feed is Meh at besr
    I need to find another instance.
    I need one that that takes its rules SERIOUSLY (instead of the rules being a massive virtue signal) and isn't especially isolated.

    Is ableist hate against the general mastadon rules?
    I just had someone boost an incredibly ableist meme onto my timeline. Borderline hate level in my autistic and physically disabled opinion.
    The server is general purpose and ableism isn't listed as against the rules.
    Ive successfully gotten Twitter to remove similar memes that were less disgusting.
