I just went to Google Gemini and asked it “Do you have any good fart jokes?”

It spewed out three jokes. None of them were about farts.

I told it that that they weren’t fart jokes, and it apologized and tried again. And once again, no fart jokes.

After about three times of trying this, it gave me this answer. I love how at the end it tries to justify its own stupidity. 🤣🤣🤣

At the moment I'm inclined to propose https://video.linux.it that is hosted by the Italian non-profit consortium, and also because we have sysadmins there for whatever question/issue, and activists.

Thanks for any suggested PeerTube for this context

Edited: not limited to PeerTube indeed. Anything FLOSS and user friendly would be lovely.

Peertube is very lovely to host fedi video and it CAN livestream but is built for the job.
App is under 10mb, single user, activitypub, live chat is a base part of the app. Follower live notifications.

Then serve a recording of the stream.

If you are looking to stream to multiple platforms OBS as a multi stream plugin

You'll need a very strong internet upload and a streaming PC that does not have a potato for CPU/GPU but there are also re-streaming services you can stream to and set up all your platforms thru it.
@Mrfunkedude uses a service to do that, I cannot remember the service, I'm sure he can chime in with a link...

It doesn't save streams or clips (yet, planned though) that's PeerTubes forte. I record as well as broadcast so anything worthy gets uploaded to my peertube channel.

If you are going to broadcast live on a peertube, be sure the instance uses the live chat plugin, and that accounts have enough disk use to hold your stream, otherwise you disconnect when you hit your cap even if it isn't being saved on peertube.

@flockofnazguls take a peek at handbrake, take your stream recording and you can get the video filesize down to bottom dollar. There is also hosting your own for a few cents per hour. Take a look at elest.io easily spin up a VPS and docker a peertube up faster than your DNS can propagate heh. Choose from server providers and dozens of locations, backup the app data and even hop providers/locations.
