The next step is banning our flags as a matter of public safety or some such. Unconstitutional? Sure, but it'll take a decade to work through the courts.
Journalism has been under attack since the 00's. GOP supporting Alden Global Capital alone has quietly bought up over 600 newspaper sites and they're not the only private equity or hedge fund doing so. Then they do to the companies they bought what they do best, which is gut them, load them with debt, and extract all possible value for their own investors.
Trump doesn't know what he wants his contraceptive policy to be. Should states be able to restrict it? This morning he thought yes, just like states can now outlaw abortion. This afternoon he said he wasn't for banning it, and neither is the Republican party. Sure, and I'm not trusting them either.
Vote for Republicans and who knows what you'll get. #ElectDemocrats and you'll get expanded health care, not restricted.

Got pulled over. Auto registration lapsed while we were distracted by, y'know, everything.
Police officer was apologetic and solicitous with me, all smiles, and then asked for my license (with my deadname) and disappeared into his car. For a long time.
Do you see a series of sunken rectangles or 16 circles?
This is The Coffer Illusion.
Our brains are geared toward identifying objects & here, “pixels” are grouped to form edges & contours, shapes, & objects. The image is inherently ambiguous so there is no “right” grouping.
Rectangles dominate first for most people - including me, but keep staring & the image may flip to circles.
What is your dream road trip? Where would you start? Where would you end up? What stops would you make along the way? It can be short or long, whatever interests you!
We might still do a mini version up the West Coast and spend more time in each destination. It's good to be familiar with one's exit routes in case of emergency.
