Very specific right now as it’s only the Steam release in Japan that is being delisted. But it might be a sign of things to come due to the licence expiring.

So if you want this game digitally, I would wait too long to pick it up.

We worry about providing Universal Basic Income because people might stop working, but here's a thought: maybe, just maybe, with a little financial security, people might actually pursue work they truly choose rather than work to just not die. Imagine that world for a moment.

@gernot I just mean that Valve may want SteamVR to access Mac-only VR content (something that hasn't existed until Vision Pro), and reintroduce macOS support. If they don't, you won't get Half-Life Alyx running on macOS, regardless of headset.

The Discord bridge to/from Matrix is operative! How does it work though?
Whenever you'll write a message on Discord the same message will be copy-pasted into Matrix in the corresponding room!

And what about the message written on Matrix side? The same thing will happen in this case, with Bridget (the bridge-bot, duh!) impersonating the Matrix user and writing the message on Discord.

Not gonna lie, the rumblings about Xbox change in strategy is getting under my skin.
Not about others getting to play Xbox games or anything like that, but what it means for the platform itself.

What's the point of even owning one anymore if the rumours are true?
It'll start getting less 3rd party support for sure, especially niche games and Japanese support I figure.
And what about my digital library going forward, which spans over a thousand games on said platform?
What a waste...

@OutofPrintArchive Upon hearing the rumours about Sea of Thieves and Hi-Fi Rush, VGC's opinion was that it was a good move from Microsoft that would only strengthen XBox.
As a PS5 owner, I hope that's true: I don't want to be at the mercy of an unbridled Sony.

@OutofPrintArchive Game Pass. None of the XBox exclusives interest me, but there are several 3rd-party, cross-gen titles that I've avoided on PlayStation because I know they're on Game Pass, and I'd feel foolish paying full price for them.
I think many PS owners could live with Indiana Jones being unavailable ("Well we have Last of Us and Spider-Man, so we're good."), but offer it to them for the same price as a year of Game Pass? They might just think the latter's starting to look good.

@OutofPrintArchive Yeah, this last 12 months in particular reinforces that none of these corporations see us humans (customers and employees alike) as anything other than dollar signs, so I didn't choose Sony because I "like" them. I was obliged to because, yes, I want to play Gran Turismo and it's an exclusive. 😔

@OutofPrintArchive Might start buying physical copies of forever games, like Dark Souls. I already do that with books: I like the convenience of ebooks, but I don't trust them not to vanish on some arsehoe's whim, so I get a physical copy of the real keepers. (Also good for after the apocalypse when electronics become a myth few even believe in).
