Why hasn’t Marjorie Taylor Greene been arrested for revenge porn? Not only did she show nude photos of people without the consent of those people, she showed it in Congress, on live television, essentially distributing it to countless people - potentially (likely) including minors.

She’s a felon in an open and shut case.

Why is it that liberals are telling us if Republicans get the White House or even the slimmest of majorities in Congress that all hell will break lose and the country will be ruined, but Democrats having the White House and the slimmest of majorities (or under Obama’s first two years, a pretty solid majority), means they can’t really do anything and we need to keep voting harder for change?

And remember how the good teachers taught you how you can use Wikipedia as the starting point for the real research rather than pretending like it doesn’t exist?

So I’m trying to make a move to Lemmy from Reddit. I’ve learned that it’s best to search for communities by going to Lemmy.directory and searching there, then doing this complicated bit to search for and add it in my actual instance… inconvenient… but I don’t mind if it means getting away from Reddit.

But… Lemmy.directory is giving a bad gateway error. Is the site just temporarily down? Or is there a new instance I should go to for this?

@maikelthedev there is an app for iOS (that is super early development it seems like and won’t connect to Lemmy.blahaj.zone last I checked). There’s one for android too, but no clue how far along it is. You can turn on dark theme in the web version and it gets… kinda better. But still honestly ugly. I can get over ugly as long as it’s functional though.

Everything wrong with my life is due to capitalism. This is not an exaggeration.

Every time I’m close to solving a problem which would benefit me and society for me to solve, I am stopped because a rich person demands I give them something I don’t have. I can’t think of a single instance of prolonged suffering outside grief, and even then, where this wasn’t the case.

I’ve done a ton of work on myself but that has diminishing returns as I burn through my lifespan. My frustration may consume me.

@estheria @LeeFromVT definitely agreed that pushing beliefs on others is a bad thing.

However, when a person has certain beliefs, like bigotry, I don’t tip toe around with “well you are entitled to your beliefs/opinion”. Because some beliefs/opinions are so toxic that the right thing to do is eradicate them.

Calckey has the highest proportion of active users relative to sign-ups.

Of its 5,123 total users, 2,191 are active.

That's an astonishing 42.8% active rate!

This is, in fact, the highest active participation rate on the Fediverse.
