With all the work today, over at vis.social, I almost forgot to post this photo.

I did some test prints, and most of them turned out great!

The one I expected to not work great, was ok. But not great.

Some of them are gorgeous...at least to me :)

These are created from some of my #genuary2024 creative coding experiments.

I've worked with a local Find Art Photography printer shop for years. The do mostly high end photography, but do well with my works.

For paper, you'll want a fine art paper. There are so many options in that department. You'll need to go look at the samples and do some test prints.

For some of my work, I go with ink-infused aluminum. It yields amazing color saturation.

I liked today's #inkyDays drawing so much that I decided to try it on watercolor paper, and with some different colors.

Light isn't playing well for photographing, so this is the best I could get for now.

It's not good enough for putting up on my etsy shop. But if you're interested let me know, and I'll make a custom listing for you.

I did it!

31 sketches for Genuary! I focused on polar coordinates and rotational symmetries with some deviations.

Finished a new floral drawing on watercolor paper today, and managed to get it listed in my shop too.

In this one, I've used a pink 'fill' with the purple line work. I did another with the same purple lines, but with a blue 'fill'.

I'll have to experiment, but if I can find a third color combination, these would make a lovely triplet.

@john I still use them. But then, I don't use apple products, so I have some options in the headphones department.

I wouldn't be surprised if apple brought back the headphone jack...someday.

If you like the work of an artist, buy it!

Most artists have works that are accessible to many different budgets.

And make sure you buy it directly from them, or their links. There are big companies stealing art and using or selling it for their own profit, and the artist sees nothing.

So, find out how to buy directly from the artist.

It's tricky to get a decent photo when it's so dark all day now. But I was given this lovely lamp that seems to be helping me get better photos, even though it's so dark in the middle of the day.

Apparently the BBC (UK) has had 144 complaints about a recent episode of because it contained an openly character.

I'm going to make a complaint to the BBC that there weren't enough characters in Doctor Who. I would love if 144 other people did the same thing. Here's the link: https://www.bbc.co.uk/contact/complaints/make-a-complaint/#/Complaint

(For your easy reference: "The Star Beast" aired on 25/11/2023, BBC One, and the trans character is called Rose.)

Photographing textile art is a huge challenge for me. But this photo turned out nicely, and you can actually see the patterns in the scarves.

These patterns were inspired by Chemistry, like much of my art.
