@JessTheUnstill I watch a YouTube channel called "How Ridiculous". It's three guys who are besties doing absolutely bananas shit, like dropping a bowling bawl 45m onto an axe and recording it in slowmo. And how I describe it to people is "The good kind of boys being boys."

Today Vacation Adventures...

The cows were in the close pasture!! The horns are... HUUUUGE. Like, scary big. But this little bb was right at the fence and I just wanted to snuggle (I did not)

Several brown and white spotted cows are in a pasture. Some have very large corns that they are rubbing on some sort of contraption.

@westerling yeah that's what I used to use. I'll never go back! I have a little bristle brush I use for when I coat with oil, but otherwise just use the chainmail

Yeah, and OTOH I'm fully onboard for doing what you can to romanticize your life. It's how a lot of us survive. Pretending you're in a Ghibli film when you're doing your chores is more fun than slogging away trying to clean a mess under capitalism.

But for a lot of folks I think it often starts to tip into the harmful. They go overboard and let their imaginations run away with them. (see witchtok cursing the moon, lmao)

It reminded me of a no-bake pie my Oma used to make. Basic graham cracker or oreo crust. Then she'd melt a tub of icecream, pour it in, and refreeze it! Bam, ice cream pie.

I've come across a lot of people who say they ground and shield everyday. I'm a pretty earthy sort and feel grounded most of the time without doing any intentional grounding. I'm outside and in the woods a lot, too. The only time I intentionally ground is when I am going into large crowds or something chaotic.

As for shielding, only when I perform certain types of work in my practice. So when hexing, cursing, etc.

Do you feel you need to ground and or/shield everyday?

I do think I lean more into the land, with touches of sea, and relatively little sky. I think I had more sky when I was younger.

(I use the three realms land/sky/sea more than the 4 Jungian elements)
