You may disagree fervently with Pres. Biden's Israel policies, and that's fine. But if you come into my feed calling him "Genocide Joe" or any variation on that theme, you're blocked.
I've already had to block a few accounts for this.
Pres. Biden is not "for genocide." I will not argue with you on this topic, nor do I discuss the Israel/Hamas war here.
But I will not tolerate accusations of "genocide" by Pres. Biden. He's not "pro genocide."
Trying to get some Xmas presents wrap but a certain black and white kitty felt I should stop what I am doing. Gift bags are under his butt. #catsofmastodon#tuxedocat
Congratulations to the WGA for successfully staring down the studio execs and achieving nearly everything writers have asked for. Your demands were based on common sense, fairness and decency, and your perseverance in the face of all the stonewalling and gaslighting was admirable and vital. The shutdowns continue with the SAG-AFTRA strike, where I have joined the picket lines myself to show my wholehearted support. /1
Revived the NWS WPC bot (which was reposting #birdsite posts, which broke awhile back). Now posting Mesoscale Precipidation Discussions, with text, and as much as possible in #alttext. @nwswpc_bot (currently data also duplicated in @spcmdc_bot where I mashed up WPC and SPC data). #wx#weather#NWS
I don't plan on doing #Phoenix#Arizona#weather all the time, but after continuing to be hot to start August, I kept collecting the data, and so have them to hand.
This August ended up being second hottest on record, behind 2020 at 98.8F (37.1C), helped - I assume by the historic approach of Hurricane Hilary to California - with the (relatively) cooler 19th-20th-21st. Discounting those the average would have been close to 100F again (~99.8F).
@XLCChelt Meanwhile, it rained enough to wet the streets and make small puddles this morning in San Francisco...on September 1, which typically is dry and clear. #cawx#weather#ClimateChange

Jeffrey Hyman, John Cummings, Douglas “Dee Dee” Colvin and Tommy Erdelyi made their first appearance at CBGB on August 16, 1974. The rest is history.
@sarahstierch Man, every time the dry wind blows through my SF neighborhood from the East, I wonder how many $3-$4 million homeowners around me give a thought to how dangerous our 1920's era above-ground lines are to their very expensive houses.
