After Israel condemned the ICC for accusing them of deliberately targeting civilians, Israel forced Palestinians into a safe zone where they wouldn't be bombed—then Israel bombed & killed 32 children in that safe zone.
German Vice Chancellor Robert Habeck loudly condemns Israel:
"The famine, the suffering of the Palestinians, the attacks in the Gaza Strip are incompatible with international law. It is indeed the case that Israel has crossed a line there, and it must not do so.”
@QasimRashid We're in the middle of becoming an illegitimate government right now, most of us don't know what the hell Biden or his possible puppet masters are currently doing over there, also we have to choose between him and the criminal tyrant business mogol for our new leaders and that's got us all a bit distracted. Oh... And the guy with literal brain damage from a parasitic worm and mercury poisoning is our backup plan.
The people outraged over the fabricated story of 40 beheaded babies last October seem to have nothing to say about the horrifying reality of beheaded Palestinian babies in Rafah happening right now & committed by the Israeli military.
Deadly hypocrisy beyond the pale of humanity. I’m beyond disgusted at our failed media and politics not just for letting this happen, but for enabling it and funding it.
Today is the 100 year anniversary that the US Govt enacted the Immigration Act of 1924—banning all immigration from Asia, while allowing effectively open borders for white European migrants.
Make no mistake. The current anti-immigrant movement is inspired by the same white supremacist policies. Allowing them to be successful will set our nation back generations.
To recap so far:
•ICJ orders Israel to cease all military operations in Rafah
•ICC presses forward on war crimes charges against Israeli PM
•US State Dept reports Israeli military used US weapons in violation of int’l law
•NYT & NBC report IDF targeted civilians
•Dozens of NGOs demand ceasefire & diplomacy
If international rules based order has any meaning, then the above must matter. The above must be acted upon. And those yet silent are complicit, and history will remember them accordingly.
@QasimRashid Qasim, are you willing to quote the ICJ saying this? Because I'd suggest that, in context, you'll find weasel words from the ICJ surrounding this claim.
As you watch Justice Thomas and Alito explicitly endorse racism and gerrymandering, and even go as far as to slam the Brown v Board ruling—a reminder that this corruption is who SCOTUS has always been.
Why we must divest from funding the siege on Gaza. My remarks before my city council last week make the argument historically, contemporarily, and looking towards the future—as the right and moral thing to do.
Louisiana legislature approves bill classifying abortion pills as controlled dangerous substances & the craziest thing about this is the GOP Rep who sponsored the bill did so b/c his ex-brother-in-law slipped abortion pills to his sister (in TX) w/o her knowledge—& wants to ensure it never happens again.
So—because one conservative extremist husband abused his wife—all women have to suffer?😐
This absurd bill will kill women, all thanks to the party of small Govt & personal responsibility. smh.
@QasimRashid would they have banned Drano if that's what was slipped in the drink? This shit will continue until the religious nutfucks are eliminated from government and then society.
Spot The Difference—NFL Commissioner Roger Goodell on
•Butker in 2024: "We have 3,000+ players. They have a diversity of opinions & thoughts just like America does. That's something we treasure & that's part of ultimately what makes us as a society better."
•Kaepernick in 2017: "We believe everyone should stand for the National Anthem. We want to honor our flag & our country & our fans expect that of us. The Anthem controversy is a barrier to having honest conversations & making real progress."
@QasimRashid I have yet to see a major platform act to stop hate speech. I'm pretty sure their definition of "hate speech" is generally "things which specifically cause us to lose money" and occasionally "things that Elon Musk finds upsetting".
