If your vendor has security issues and your executives care they can like… demand a meeting. Which is so executive-coded it works.
We did this to a vendor recently and got a groveling layout of internal strategy.
To be Executive you gotta act Executive. Executive decisions. Bam.

Sforslev,

@SwiftOnSecurity oh yeah I loved witnessing a vp grilling a vendor on their unpatched software. It was a thing of beauty

Do you know what installing Windows as many times as I have does to the human mind.

Wesche,

@SwiftOnSecurity I assume it allows you to know what Alt key combinations to press in order to get through the screens without the mouse.
It also likely leads to anxiety 😁

Agreed, installing Linux based systems does just that, install windows and you have to answer several pages of questions about various things i just disabled everything it asked, why do i need to send data to people?

The invention of the blue LED, one of the most difficult and important inventions ever – which allowed the white LED – is some of the craziest Chad shit I have ever heard about anything. This guy is pinnacle determination holy crap.

@SwiftOnSecurity Whether you like him or not you need to credit the creator when using their work for your own purposes.

@SwiftOnSecurity his boss sounded like the epitome of what is often wrong with upper management.

Want to get nostalgia-pilled?
The history of GameSpy, and its legacy

drsbaitso,

@SwiftOnSecurity Oh man. GameSpy was easy enough to remember. But the mention of Roger Wilco voice chat (~5:30) was a HUGE nostalgia brick to the face.

@brettshavers post here

brettshavers,

I just peer-reviewed a forensic analysis in a case.

The suspect mailed a package with a hidden Apple AirTag in it to a victim's old home address.

The package was forwarded to her new (and formerly safe) address....

Might be good to warn DV victims of unexpected mail.

Not having an address is a pain (I live on a boat).

It seems having one can be even worse.

I asked ChatGPT what are 10 things I could do to improve my life.

Anyway here are 10 things you should stop doing:

In my hands is my first iPod. Steve Jobs is smiling at me. Everybody at the Apple Store is smiling.

I take off my Apple Vision. I am back in the retirement home. Nobody has visited me for 12 years. I put it back on.

I hold my iPod. Everybody in the Apple Store is smiling.

HypOps simulates a hypothetical clash between the US and the PLA in the South China Sea. A FONOP gone bad leads to a JH-7 shootdown by an Arleigh Burke class destroyer. Tensions continues to escalate up to engaging an American carrier.

We recently forced a check for MFA across all company social accounts. It’s a good time to go email your PR/marketing team and ask for a screenshot of each website’s settings for audit purposes.

Lee_Holmes,

@SwiftOnSecurity Screenshots! What a great example of how hard it is for companies to enforce even basic requirements policy across the madness of everything they rely on.

Similar issue with Postman if you have any sort of policies around secrets and credential storage: https://infosec.exchange/

Reacher Season 1 on Amazon Prime Video is actually shocking good? No joke. Go check it out. It knows exactly what it is and that is joyous. It’s a show entirely how all your problems are solved by being tall.

@SwiftOnSecurity So the point is that he reaches the jar at the top of the shelf? Dunno, that doesn't sound like a very interesting premise for a show to me.

infoseclogger,

@SwiftOnSecurity 6'2"? Are you ok down there? Need me to reach the top shelf for you?

I hate when you can tell a YouTube creator has gone woke because they start overlaying metric conversions. Why you got to bring politics into this. Leave that socialism where it belongs.
