@slanderoid Capitalism without guard rails is a scary thing to nurture! It's only remained because the community at large has been lulled into a state of acceptance. No great powers are looming over the gaming Corpos and making them do away with Microtransactions. Without guardians, the predators feel safe to play. Pushing the envelope on how they can create more victims of temptation.

Successfully sideloaded the Pixel Feature June Update! Turns out Google stopped making specific OTAs for carriers a while ago. Now it's just a single OTA zip to download. Now to figure out how to get the Emoji Workshop to show up in my Wallpaper Options.

Thank God, for them...James Stephanie Sterling has released a banger of a video discussing the accessibility minded control scheme of Street Fighter 6. Also, the wankers that are crying about their inclusion since the barrier of entry for some has been lifted. Allowing these fools to be smeared across the digital battlefield. The ones who the controls were once a barrier to, simplified controls now free their minds, allowing for complex strategic decision making.

I always look forward to a new episode of Dead Mount Death Play. We get more lore about the other world and Corpse God's origins. In addition, a lot of threads of plot are cast for the viewer to be intrigued by. The fabric this tale will weave is certainly going to be entertaining. Another great episode, as always, I 'watch out for fires.'

It's done. I deleted my Twitter. I never use it, and whenever I did, I got bombarded with stuff I didn't want to look at, or got angry with.

@Dennis5891 Pixelfed is an Instagram alternative that's part of the Fediverse. As for YouTube...I've not found a good alternative yet.

The last episode of Demon Slayer, The Sword Village Arc, was amazing! Laughter, crying, and joy were evoked from the depths of myself with ease. Their masterful storytelling played the strings of my emotional core.

On Moduland, we have two...darker villagers.

We have our mummy friend Lucky (bottom home) who has a spooky side yard behind a wild fence.

We also have everyone's favorite goth, Muffy, who has a small spooky forrest next to her home. And a table set for her to tell your fortunes!

I have tried to match yards to personalities and aesthetics of the characters as best as I can.

@mdmrn Once my island is fully squared away, I'll give my villagers enough space between houses to create some individual yards. I might even group them in a way that gives them a communal themed yard!

@mdmrn Kabuki does have a lovely little area to live in, based on the screenshots that I saw! I do think a communal yard would feel quite cozy, masking the strangeness that will be woven into other parts of my island. 🤭

When I summon Lucky, I'll adapt the orchard graveyard to accommodate his home...One build could serve several purposes.

Mostly due to many of my designs are more for usefulness with a touch of aesthetic beauty mixed in. I won't have much space for those kind dears.

Lately I'll close a site rather than read the information if there's some kind of full motion video thing I can't close (which is inevitably an ad whether they admit it is or not), and

am I just being precious? am I that outside the norm? Or is this actually how others feel, and we're maybe at some kind of social terminus of advertising's effectiveness?

@glassbottommeg Yeah, I personally avoid sites with an autoplay video that I never asked to see...It's an aggravating practice that's gotten worse. I won't browse a lot on my mobile for this very reason. I use Ghostery for PC web browsing, so a lot of that shit gets destroyed before it's deployed.

Yesterday, I tried to take on the final boss in the odds were not in my favor. Looks like grinding Skirmishes is the only way to get my Warband up to snuff. It will lead me to the next Citizen though as there's one that can be earned from winning a chain of skirmishes.

OMG My hangout with friends was amazing! We had so much fun talking about all manner of subjects for hours over drinks. The vibe was stunning, its rare to feel so at home with other people. We even had the same human interaction timer. LOL

@Dennis5891 Some have a tendency to initially overshare on the internet. It takes time to really understand the benefit of having a smaller digital footprint. I understand your concerns, as those breadcrumbs would make it way too easy for someone to find you.

It's good that you've considered what you share and don't share more carefully as now you have better control over the online life you lead.

I recently joined lemmy.world as a Reddit alternative. I found there was a recent hubbub, to summarize: Beehaw users were getting harassed from three instances. Those instances are lemmy.world, sh.itjust.works, and lemmy.ml. As a result, Beehaw defederated all three, but were also engaging the moderators of each instance to resolve said issue. I'm going to leave lemmy.world and go to Beehaw, setting up a recurring donation.

After all this is a choice, you'll be making for yourself. As for growth, well they've mentioned firsthand that their overall communities are growing with users.
