Biden is in my hometown. He's just a few blocks away, and it's causing me cognitive dissonance.

I feel like I'm in a war zone. There are helicopters all over. Sirens wailing. So much protection.

But, he'll be unmasked in crowded rooms, since is no risk at all, apparently.

Weird that he's protected in one sort of bubble and not another. A man of his age spending time in crowds unmasked feels like the equivalent of painting a bullseye on him.

@augieray I have no skin in the game not being American. I hope Biden wins but his approach to his own safety is laughable. Secret service isn’t going to protect him from covid. I hope he doesn’t get sick. He is taking stupid risks right now. It’s gobsmacking.

Motorbikes have to be the slowest form of transport. I’ve never witnessed anyone just get on their bike and go. It’s always 20 minute of idling and futzing with it and leaving it to go get something and then futzing some more and then idling it for another few minutes and then getting on and futzing some more for another 2 minutes before roaring off.
