Sorry for the potato quality blurry pics. The Pixel 6 pro camera is kinda garbage at focusing if you use the slightest bit of zoom. Perfectly in focus background, the focus, centre of the shot... blurry as fuck

But having coffee and cake at lunchtime, and some birds were taking a keen interest and landed on the chair next to us.

So my mum held out her hand with a few cake crumbs on and they ate right out of her hand.

Can't tell what kind of birds they are though.

Wouldn't this also introduce a single attack vector to the entire vehicles electronics and control systems... when modern cars have isolated systems for simple security.

Imagine being able to hack into the driving controls via the door handle controls (as a wild example)

When it comes to automotive electrics... My experience ends at wiring in a stereo and speakers... I have occasionally fitted a reversing camera... So I know jack shit about anything.

There's 2 options I really want occasionally for feeds.

  1. grouping all recent boosts together, which is a default on in Mastodon & super important really for readability.

  2. turning off boosts entirely so you can quick catch up with just what your contacts are doing, not what they're reading.

Are there any ways of doing either of these, including any forks or clients or anything?

Huh. It just occurred to me that not everyone reads all the time. Like, there’s a bunch of people without books they’re reading right now. That concept is so bizarre to me. I’ve always got several books going. Ebooks, audiobooks and physical copies of books. If you don’t read anymore, when and why did you stop? No judgement. I’m genuinely curious. @bookstodon

I said it was both terrifying and exhilarating at the same time.... and that feeling was better than sex.

I paused... for about 5 seconds whilst they just nodded in understanding.

Todays is the last of the beef in red wine casserole, turned into soup.

I also discovered that the soup maker is broken and shuts off after a couple of mins until the OCP resets and it turns back on for 30 secs... rinse and repeat.

So I heated it up on the hob, and used the hand blender instead.

Won't bother replacing the soup maker... not worth it.

Typically, we had 2... mine and my mums. I gave mine to my sister a few weeks ago after hers failed.

I may have been too hasty... as I was cleaning it out. I noticed there's a MIN level not just a MAX level.

So I filled it with water to the MIN level and put it on... it never shut off.

I must have had it just below that level before. It appears to be working now.

We are looking for storage solutions for a current collection of about 10-15k blocks with a goal allowing a 4 year old to keep them organized and have easy play.

Thinking big stack of shallow tubs that slide out by color.

Thoughts?

@katerberg Just get trannslucent tubs so you can see the colour of the bricks inside them. That way you can just get stackable racks.

Or perhaps the trades racks with open faced tubs you can hang on a backing rack.

    The beef in red wine casserole has been nurdling away since 11am this morning in the slow cooker.

    Starting to get the smells wafting through the house now... another couple of hours and it'll be ready.

    Then I can take a bad picture of a big bowl of delicious slop for you all. 😆 😋

    My sister got me a slow cooker for xmas about 25yrs ago.

    Over the winter I practically live out of it normally.

    Need to get back into that habit... because I lose weight eating properly with loads of veggies.

    Because I cook for my mum and we rarely like the same things. We end up eating less healthier foods that are easier to make.

    So she's having to cook more herself and has been batch cooking soups and risotto this week.

    We've each got dinners to last until Sat now.

    We had 500g of angus steak mince, so made up a mix you can use with lasagne or spaghetti. Divided in half, mum made risotto and I just cooked pasta for the rest.

    The only rice I like is rice pudding. 🤣 So I won't touch it.

    But then (I think due to the autism) I struggle with a lot of foods... mostly texture over taste with many things.

    It's why I couldn't be vegetarian, let alone vegan... I'd literally starve.
