On hospital in Rafah have received over 120 casualties and eyewitness reports saying that this can be the single deadliest day of the conflict in the past 4 months.

The casualties are mostly women and children who were celebrating the ending of the holy month of Ramadan.

Zionism is based on the idea that Jews will never fully integrate in liberal European societies, and that's an antisemitic trope. It's also what Herzl wrote as the main reason for his movement.

Zionism all but destroyed Yiddish, as discriminated it in favor of reviving Hebrew, effectively destroying eastern and German Jewish heritage.

Exactly this!

The Western audiences have been dumbed down into "good vs evil" narratives, so you just have to "get rid of the bad apples" and the system will work as intended. So if you get "evil Netanyahu" out Israel will go bnack into being "a democracy" and they can stop putting attention to the issue.

You can see that same narrative at play when they demonize Hamas and insinuate that "if only they got rid of it" the Palestinians would be "A-Ok".

  2. Iran is an authoritarian theocracy that doesn't deserve a blank check, HOWEVER, they arming Ansarallah, Hezbollah or other resistance groups is one of the good things they do. You can criticize a government while at the same time acknowledging when it does good.

Israel is using the AI Lavender to mass murder the Palestinians.

Many United Nations bodies have branded what Israel is doing "plausibly a genocide", "a breach of the Genocide Convention" (ICJ), have called for a cease fire (the SC) or have called for a ban on selling weapons to Israel on account of it carrying out a genocide as we speak. These are the main bodies of international policy, not fringe voices.

Again, how is this humorous?

I've really been trying to move my discourse midstream in order to garner as much support as I can for Palestine. But fuck this shit.

The law is nothing but a piece of paper behind which society hides its discrepancies and class division. The law was never for the powerful or rich, but for the rest of us. It doesn't mater if it's within any country or international law.

The impunity and cynicism with which the powerful are protecting Israel should open our eyes to that fact.

@atomicpoet I think that's a very wrong way of addressing the issue. The Nazis didn't stop when the German people got a better person elected.

Referencing what happened in South Africa, we need to call out, boycott and sanction those responsible of crimes, until they are isolated and are forced to give way. Welcoming Biden doesn't do that.

I'm also not an American, but Mexican, BTW.

I'm sorry if wasn't clear. I meant that the Nazis weren't defeated by the vote, but by violence. And I think the same about Netanyahu. Not to mean ONLY armed violence, civil resistance and protest, which include violent acts, as with the SA example, should happen first.

Biden needs to be isolated and called out.

I really don't understand why you bring up Trump into the conversation.

If something hasn't happened until now, it doesn't mean it can happen.

I'd also challenge the idea that "the USA has committed greater crimes", there is no greater crime than genocide, and the USA's support for it has been very strong.

Failing to act against injustice is giving way to injustice. Normalizing that the USA does crimes does nothing to stop it.

This year of 2024 I learned that calling for a cease fire is antisemitic, that calling for an end to apartheid is antisemitic, that denouncing war crimes is antisemitic, but that German police beating the shit out of Jews protesting a genocide falsely being carried out on their name is business as usual — he wrote with painful irony.

It's not "Russian disinformation", "Al Jazeera" or "RT", it's the International Court of Justice that's calling what is doing in a "plausible genocide", and the UN Security Council that made a resolution calling for a cease fire and humanitarian aid for the Palestinian population, that Israel is breaching.

How can Westerners not see this? How can Europeans and Americans act as if their governments are not criminally liable for genocide, for their material support for Israel?
