Hi, I need a more Covid safe dentist in the north bay of San Francisco. I asked if mine had upgraded their air mitigation to more than just one purifier (as the reception office staff now don’t mask) and they are not nor will not.
I do plan on buying my own far UV but it would be nice to go to a place that understands this already.
Wot, me, stressed? Nah, I wasn’t the one bursting into tears when the receptionists at the #Dentist told me I was there for a “periclean” appointment (I had psyched myself up for my routine 3 month clean, polish, fluoride- 3 months because #Sjogrens) - I ended up saying through tears “I’m autistic, please don’t suddenly spring changes on me.” Turns out it was the new dentist (mine’s on mat leave) saving me money through the system. And everyone was very kind. Might be #stress, eh?
At the dentist’s again for another broken tooth. I had to ask him to wear his mask over his nose. I hate that I put my life at risk every time I get medical attention. I got some writing done in the waiting room, though. #Covid#MaskUp#Dentist

Maybe we should go back to the days when the local vet also pulled teeth out for people as well - at least we can get a quick appointment with a vet! #dentist

So I was at the #dentist the other day, getting a crown installed. It was on a tooth with a very old filling—maybe 30-40 years, no idea—that was developing cracks. They did some imaging and showed me an image of my teeth with a red shaded spot on that tooth. Dentist said, “#AI is suggesting some decay here, but we can’t see it.” After removing the old filling they could see the decay that had been hiding under it. Win for AI. No idea what it was.
