@AnarchistArt JPG is a lot better than PNG, but top quality WEBP would be half the size of JPG. Time and technology has moved on from ancient PNG and JPG formats.

@msquebanh @yogthos China supporting Russia's illegal war against Ukraine in my opionion should be viewed as supporting terrorism. I have made business with chinese for huge sums and the chinese business people have been very nice and absolutely good to do business with. Products have been great too. China-Russia and Ukraine war has made me make business elsewhere.

I don't know if I can or ever forgive Leftists who chose "convenience" and eugenics over people's lives and health.

Like, I don't know how to tell these people that by NOT engaging in pandemic mitigations and normalizing them within our cultures = aligning with fascists and eugenicists.

Maybe y'all don't want to hear that truth, but Covid doesn't care what you think. It damages all parts of the body. It's caused millions (in the US alone) to be trapped in the hell of LongCovid, and it's killed millions more.

We have tools that can decrease the deaths and disablements, and instead, Leftists gave up on their morals, threw it all away, and just left folks like me to die.

So yeah. I don't know how to forgive those folks or if forgiveness is even possible.

If you'd like to redeem yourself, then normalize pandemic mitigations. Fight against fascism and eugenics by taking this pandemic seriously. Work with folks like me and include us. Leave none of us behind ever again.

If y'all continue to not do that, then don't act surprised when disabled folks like myself and my allies treat you with suspicion and lack of trust. Your actions speak for yourself.

@pfefferle I still have a problem with attachment post types. All uploads are instantly federated or they never are, if the Activitypub’s media post checkbox isn’t checked. Permalink, alt-text etc can’t be set before upload. What is the trigger that publishes in federation? Changing dates did'nt do anything. I have 3000 attachment posts that I can't publish in Fediverse unless I upload everything again, but they would still be missing alt-text etc and have bad permalinks.

@pfefferle My sites idea is to be a leftist tolerant media bank with pics 1/10 size but top quality. I have cropped and removed compression artifacts and remade old and new JPG:s and PNG:s, tagged each pic. Next im adding alt-texts to all that miss them. Media was supposed to be found in Mastodon.

@pfefferle So far. There are a lot of photography people that will want to be in Fediverse, when they hear of it. Media Library Assistant has a lot of users for example and it is made for serious mediastuff.

@pfefferle No, they use galleries made with MLA. And from gallery there is only attachment post page. Even if it could direct to article/page post, it's just another useless step to show the same thing. Anyway it can't direct to articles, I asked.

@pfefferle I have some multi-image cartoons that have to be as article post. Had to make a thumbnail in MLA gallery and with another plugin, custom link for thumbnail to article page. MLA is only extension to WP's media handling and it just has to be that way, because of WP. With other media-plugins, it's up to them to work it out, but in my case, problem would be the same without MLA and it's really a WP and Activitypub issue.

Since I'm thinking about it, let's talk about Ignorance. I have so many mixed thoughts on the subject. So, a little back story on me, for those who haven't already figured this out. My father was a pastor, I was raised extremely Conservative and religious, and while some of it struck me as a bit off, and I was certainly less Conservative than my parents, I was a good little girl and towed the party line. It wasn't until my little brother came out when he was 14, that my wake up call really began. Suddenly, it was personal, I love my little brother, how would he be going to Hell? If you start doubting one thing, then slowly you start doubting everything.

Because of this background, I do have empathy for what I consider true ignorance. For those who did not grow up in this environment, it can be really hard to understand how people can just blindly believe these things. They don't understand the cult like atmosphere that it truly is. All your media is this one thing, all your social circle are people that agree with you, you are quite literally in a bubble of propaganda. For me the combination of being around different kinds of people and factual education gave me the ability to see the truth, and it's something I still work on, with anything you consider fact, you should always leave a window open, there's always more to learn.

Sooo, if you read this far, What has been your experience with ignorance? What is something you've been ignorant about? Is willful ignorance actually a form of ignorance? Do you think there's any true ways to convince people they are missing out on the truth?
