@blinry For the non-computer people: a regex, short for "regular expression", is a sort of short notation for describing text, for example: The line starts with a "c", then there's a number of vowels, and then there might be a "t". In regex, this would be "^c[aeiou]+t?"

And indeed, the vegan cheese that's available in supermarkets is often… not great so far.

So I wanted to show you how to make a simple, quick & cheap cheese from cashews! It's tangy, savory, and has lots of protein!

@blinry did it, but had no pre-roasted cashews, so I roasted them myself; in the end I had to take 2-3 times the amount of „wet“ ingredients but it turned out great and is extremely tasty! Thanks for sharing!

@blinry Here it is after a few hours in the fridge. Size came out to about 12cm diameter and 3cm height.

Texture is mostly a firm mass with very fine chunks. It's brittle when cutting but not when you bite into it.

Taste wise it's what I expected from the ingredients (cashew flavor (mostly at the end), acidity from the lemon and the vinegar, some heat from the extra pepper on the outside).

@blinry I remember being thoroughly nerd sniped by the first one when it came it, so I'm afraid to check out the other ones 😄 My candidate is a double sided page reference sheet for RISC-V. Wunderbares Beispiel aus London, dass zeigt, dass Autofahrer erst dann wirklich langsam fahren, wenn man sie nicht mit der x-ten Kampagne höflich darum bittet oder Kinder in der Nähe sind, sondern schlicht und einfach die Infrastruktur so verändert, dass sie Angst um Kratzer im Lack haben. Genau so sollten Kreuzungen in Wohngebieten auch in 🇩🇪 gestaltet werden.
