Won Citrus, middle-of-the-pack with Citadels, lost Tiny Towns (forgot by how much), missed winning Wingspan by one point (87 to 86!), and Horrified is a co-op game and we won!
Played 6 different board games this weekend. Saw friends on Friday and more friends today. Got pumpkins and gourds for decoration. Have had the fireplace going for 9 hours today. Ate well, had a few drinks, and really enjoyed the cool temps. What a wonderful weekend. #boardgames#friends#family#blessed
I also played "Eclipse: Second Dawn for the Galaxy" on Saturday for the first time. It was...a lot. By the end I was letting the other two players go through their turns as I couldn't catch up on resources or points. My problem was not drawing tiles that would actually give me resources instead of more enemy ships. My first battle ended up with me losing all my ships which took to the end of the game to recover from. Will play again because of how big it is. #boardgames#eclipse#learning
Funny story: we were playing on top of an air hockey table without a board or cover. After everything was set up, one of the players accidentally bumped the power button on the table which turned on the airflow and sent all the hex pieces and player boards slowly migrating all over the place. It was amazingly funny and I think someone should develop a board game that is designed to be played, in part, with an air hockey table turned on. #boardgames#accidentaldiscovery
Where we bought honey today, the beekeeper was using the mighty power of the sun to melt spheres of beeswax. It was over 200 deg F in the box.

In Elizabeth Illinois, there is an interesting sign along the main street: Bicycle Museum. The only time the museum is open is from 10-2 on Saturdays. We happened to be in the area last weekend and had time to stop by and folks, if you like bicycles, I think you need to go here.
