@darkghosthunter Yep. Using rpm-ostree to layer on packages is definitely the last resort option for getting applications on an atomic system.

@sysop408 How was the exploration? Are you clear?

sysop408,
@sysop408@sfba.social avatar

@darkghosthunter Yup! Actually I was entirely clear. They didn't even have anything to send to the lab.

After 4 colonoscopies, I finally came home with a very brief post-op report that had nothing at all to say.

I bet someone thought that selling on the most hated store on the PC realm, without physical copies, sold exclusively for current gen consoles on their exclusive storefronts, would never lead to unprofitability.

@darkghosthunter Another detail I'd add to this are the PC system requirements, which further limited the game's reach on top of the store exclusivity.

I really enjoyed Alan Wake and Control, but I couldn't run Alan Wake 2 with my hardware and I'm not about to upgrade for a single game (or even a few games).

Is there anyone daily driving BTRFS on Linux? How many times have you wished you went EXT4 instead?

darkghosthunter,
@darkghosthunter@mastodon.social avatar

@visone I’ll take that as “BTRFS is the best after macaroni and cheese”

Just going to nonchalantly shove in some awareness to my GitHub Sponsorship.

If you value my contributions to Open Source and Laravel, just leave a small tip or become a sponsor. It helps me pay the bills.

I really like Nuxt 3, but not having a clear way to override the global $fetch is a deal breaker to me.

In other words, you're bound plumb your way up to what you need.

And that's what I hate from most Javascript frameworks. There is a lot of plumbing to make something work.

brawaru,
@brawaru@mstdn.social avatar

@darkghosthunter why would you want to override the global $fetch?

What kills Pacific Drive it’s their shitty save game implementation.

syntaxseed,
@syntaxseed@phpc.social avatar

@darkghosthunter Oh no. 😓 I've been eyeing this game but if saving is a PITA then it's so hard for people with busy lives...

Finally! I updated my Passkeys (WebAuthn) package for Laravel, and that includes a totally new JS helper.

Honestly, there was a time where MariaDB was relevant, and that was when PostgreSQL was weird, MS SQL was costly, and MySQL was on the verge of being proprietary.

Today, MS SQL has low entrance barriers, MySQL still works, and PostgreSQL is versatile and rock solid.

What does MariaDB offers that other don’t?
