For non English speaking coders...
Especially if working in #DDD

#UbiquitousLanguage requires common language & terminology in code and business

Yet, I see many benefits of coding in English....

• code homogeneity between public front end and internal code
• easier to find subcontractors
• English kinda is the standard
• devs are more used to it
• pear review
• "auditability" (For context, my company's lg is FR... but HQ is British)
• ...

saw a colleague of mine coding #PHP on VsCode today

so yeah, once you have spent a couple of hours searching and installing plugins (hardest part being to find the good one) it works, kinda...

but it remains a shiny text editor IMHO
definitely missing the power of a real IDE and there is like NO BLOODY WAY I'm leaving #PhpStorm for that

granted, launching a project or building an index takes a little time
but it is by far compensated by the productivity it offers

Very good reminder by @dragonmantank in @editor (phparch of September 2023) on why it matters to preserve a browser diversity (https://www.phparch.com/magazine/2023/09/2023-09-the-spectrum-of-php/)

Btw we as developers can help in that by making sure our creations work on all browsers (use @mozilla #Firefox !)

Particularly like his advice/reminder about building applications in such a way that it becomes simply impossible to get into an invalid state
